A nearsite clinic is a variation of the onsite clinic that employers may choose to utilize when space is limited or inaccessible to plan members at the worksite and is typically located close to, but not on the employer’s worksite. This option may also be used if an employer has two worksite locations in close proximity.
The share clinic option is where two or more employers partner together to provide an onsite or nearsite clinic for their employees and plan members. By partnering together, both smaller and larger employers can benefit from reduced startup and operating costs due to cost sharing arrangements while receiving the full benefits of the clinic.
